EZ Trivia
Privacy Policy
Effective September 17, 2026
EZ Trivia is a trivia game. This policy explains the information used when you play, sync progress, view ads, make a purchase, report a problem or question, or use platform gaming services.
Information EZ Trivia uses
- Player progress and preferences. Scores, Daily Challenge history, Friend Challenge results, Quick Play history, seen-question state, lifetime points, and achievement progress are stored on your device. On iOS, when iCloud is available, EZ Trivia also uses Apple's private iCloud key-value storage to synchronize gameplay progress across devices signed in to the same iCloud account. On Android, when Google Play Games is connected and Saved Games is available, EZ Trivia stores a private Play Games saved-game snapshot containing gameplay history, question-progress facts, seen-question state, lifetime points, achievement-related progress, and merge bookkeeping needed to preserve independent offline progress from multiple devices. The developer does not operate a separate EZ Trivia account system or player-state server and does not receive your Apple ID or Google Account credentials.
- Apple Game Center. On iOS, if you sign in to Apple Game Center, EZ Trivia submits category lifetime-point totals, Daily Challenge weighted scores, and configured Game Center achievement progress. Apple processes your Game Center identity and leaderboard/achievement data under Apple's privacy policy. EZ Trivia does not receive your Apple ID credentials.
- Google Play Games Services. On Android, Google Play Games authentication is optional and core trivia play works without it. If your Play Games profile is available to EZ Trivia, Play Games Services handles platform authentication, achievements, leaderboards, and Saved Games. EZ Trivia submits configured achievement progress, category lifetime-point totals, the current Daily Challenge weighted score, and private saved-game progress. Google Play Games may process information associated with that platform profile, including gamer identity, account name or discoverable email where applicable, device identifiers, game activity, achievements, rankings, and saved progress under Google's applicable privacy terms. EZ Trivia does not operate an EZ Trivia account backend and does not receive your Google Account password.
- Question and support reports. If you choose Report this question, Send feedback, or Report a problem, EZ Trivia opens your email app with a draft addressed to support. Question reports include the question context needed to investigate the content. General feedback/problem reports include the app version, Android version, device manufacturer/model, locale, and current high-level ads/purchase status so device-specific problems are easier to diagnose. You can review or remove this information before sending. Nothing is transmitted by EZ Trivia unless you choose to send the email.
- Crash diagnostics on Android. Android releases configured with Firebase Crashlytics send crash and stability diagnostics to Google Firebase so the developer can identify and fix crashes and ANRs. Crashlytics automatically collects information such as stack traces, relevant app state, relevant device/OS metadata, and installation identifiers used to count affected installations. EZ Trivia adds only build/version keys to these reports and does not set a Crashlytics user ID. Firebase Analytics is not included for this purpose, and EZ Trivia does not send gameplay analytics to a developer-run analytics backend.
- Purchases. The optional one-time Remove Ads purchase is processed by Apple through StoreKit on iOS and by Google through Google Play Billing on Android. EZ Trivia never receives your payment-card or bank-account details. On Android, Google Play Billing provides product and purchase-ownership information to the app; EZ Trivia keeps a local Remove Ads entitlement flag and sends the purchase token back to Google Play when acknowledging the purchase. Google Play remains authoritative for restores, refunds, and revocations. EZ Trivia does not operate a purchase backend.
- Advertising. Where advertising is enabled, Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads may collect and share IP address information used to estimate approximate location, app interactions such as launches or taps, diagnostics, and device or account identifiers. Google documents these categories as being used for advertising or marketing, analytics, and fraud prevention/security, and states that the SDK encrypts this data in transit. On Android, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform before requesting ads where applicable, and the banner is not requested after Remove Ads is owned.
Tracking and consent
EZ Trivia does not directly sell personal information. Where advertising is enabled, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform to present applicable advertising privacy choices before ad requests are made where required. Available privacy choices can also be reopened from the app when Google requires that option.
Platform progress sync
On iOS, iCloud player-state synchronization is provided by Apple and tied to the iCloud account configured on the device. On Android, Google Play Games Saved Games provides private player-progress synchronization when the player is connected to Play Games and the platform service is available. Android keeps local gameplay state as the offline-first source of truth and merges cloud snapshots rather than requiring network access to play. If a platform service is unavailable, core trivia gameplay continues with local progress and sync can retry later.
Local flag artwork
National flag images are bundled with the app. Viewing a flag question does not contact a flag-image server.
Retention and deletion
Recent category-round history can be cleared from the Scores screen. Other gameplay facts are retained locally as player progress and are removed from the device when app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled, subject to normal device backup behavior. iCloud-synchronized data may remain associated with your iCloud account under Apple's controls. Google Play Games Saved Games, leaderboard, achievement, and other Play Games data may remain associated with your Play Games profile under Google's controls; Google provides controls for deleting Play Games profile or game data. Advertising and Crashlytics data retention is controlled by Google under its applicable terms.
EZ Trivia does not create a separate developer-run user account, so there is no EZ Trivia account-deletion process. The developer also does not operate a single deletion endpoint that controls data retained by Apple, Google Play Games, Google Play Billing, Firebase Crashlytics, or Google advertising services.
Children
EZ Trivia is not intended to collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can use the app without a separate EZ Trivia account, clear recent category-round history inside the app, manage iCloud and Game Center through Apple settings, choose whether to use optional Google Play Games features and manage Play Games data through Google's controls, manage available advertising privacy choices in the app where applicable, purchase Remove Ads, and delete the app to remove its local data. Platform-synchronized or platform-processed data may remain with Apple or Google under their account and service controls. Requests concerning data processed by Apple or Google should also be directed to those providers.
